Kiehl's & Dr Salic

All Hail Keihls!!

Recieved a last minute call last week from Kiehls on their workshop for today, so....Left the office at 6sharp todae, exiting earlier from the meeting. Rushed to Hyatt Hotel coz the seminar starts at 6.30...GOSh! what a timing. so rush...

It was interesting today coz Dr Salic from Harvard Medical School was sharing with us on Cell Biology and Cancer. About Cell Division and watched a few clips on Mitosis as well - the difference on how our normal cells divide and cancer cells divide.

Very interesting...

Patricia from Kiehls New York was also here, very nice lady. She did a lil briefing on the products as well (which i already have them). Kiehls is always working with Harvard Medical School on Researches and thus, its indeed credible. Well, at least for me, i swear by their products (okie, certain products). For newbies...perhaps you might wanna start with their wonderful handcream and their Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion. Very effective.

Try it People!! =) Boys, you wont be bored if you are accompanying your gfs there, coz they have this Harley (or was it the Indian Chopper looking thing) in the Singapore Boutique. Besides that, there are couches for you to vegetate as well as ipod station =)

Check this out: http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/home/index.aspx

NEVER TRY TO OUTSMART A WOMAN

Feeling bored and reading my junkmails....and saw this rather amusing, but i seconded point number 5!

NEVER TRY TO OUTSMART A WOMAN
1. Never try to outsmart a woman There was a man who had worked all his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real miser when it came to his money. Just before he died, he said to his wife, "When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me." And so he got his wife to promise him with all her heart that when he died, she would put all of the money in the casket with him. Well, he died. He was stretched out in the casket; his wife was sitting there in black, and her friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said, "Wait just a minute!". She had a box with her; she came over with the box and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down, and the rolled it away. So her friend said, "Girl, I know you weren't fool enough to put all that money in there with your husband." The loyal wife replied, "Listen, I'm a Christian, I can't go back on my word. I promised him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him." "You mean to tell me you put that money inthe casket with him!!!!?" "I sure did" said the wife. "I got it all together, put it into my account and wrote him a cheque. If he can cash it, he can spend it."
2. Women Are Smarter Than MenDue to inherit a fortune when his sickly, widower father died, Charles decided he needed a woman to enjoy it with. Going to a singles bar, he spotted a woman whose beauty took his breath away. "I'm just an ordinary man," he said, walking up to her, "but in just a week or two, my father will die and I'll inherit 20 million dollars." The woman went home with Charles, and the next day she became his stepmother!
3. Women's Revenge "Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse. "So, do you always carry your TVremote?" I asked. "No," she replied, "but my husband refused to come shopping with me, so I figured this was the most legal evil thing I could do to him."
4. Wife Vs. Husband A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."
5. WordsA husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000. The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men." The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"
6. Stupid And BeautifulA man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time." The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!"
7. The BeastHusband and wife were in the midst of a violent quarrel, and hubby was losing his temper. "Be careful," he said to his wife. "You will bring out the beast in me." "So what?" his wife shot back. "Who's afraid of a mouse?"
8. Coffee A man and his wife were having an argument a bout who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee." The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee." Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says...."HEBREWS"

Blame-Storming~oh well~oh well~oh well

Wrong day all went wrong..juz not in them mood to work...Lethargic

Had lunch with Daniel, Mark and Jas @ Imperial Nan Bei Restaurant, and then went to Coffee Club to do some work. Sign documents....ran through the closing press release, and some post show stuff.

Had Iced rambutan and mud pie after our sumptous Tim Sum. *Burp* think im still hungry...

In the end...we bitch and bitch and bitch. What supposed to be a brain-storming session became a blame-storming session.

Went to Kino to buy some books..not bad. I bought 2 books too:

  • Steal These Ideas! by Steve Cone. Its a book on marketing secrets. very interesting
  • SHIFT - Inside Nissan's Historic Revival by Carlos Ghosn (pronounced as phone), the CEO of Nissan

Not bad....2 good books. Wanted to buy the one on Toyota...but decided to buy the nissan's case study.

While browsing more books on Greece, Maxie called and she thought i was going to quit...and had a long chat on the issue of me relocating to london...urggh... Don even wanna repeat it here....otherwise...im going to feel depress again. Selfish..plain selfish....

Skipped meditation class todae..impt lession...but i simply cant peel myself off to go. So came back at about 6ish. Not bad huh?

Oh well....sometimes...i feel like a 30 year old, single, unwanted, depress, and confuse with career advancement.

Tho i had offers..but juz doesnt seem to satisfy my info-hungry self. Dubai is great, working for Dubai's 2nd largest telco group. but Dubai........juz don feel very safe....

La Mer....i gave it up coz i wanna do more than what they have offered...and the pay they offered..mmmm.......

oh well...meeting Dennis this friday for drinks...good time to chill. Too bad chiuso not free...he said he is meeting his "other bunch of frens" oh well..okie.

Hope he gets his job @ Wyeth. At the same time..he also wanna go to Greece. oh well....hope everything is good for him..

Questions received by Aussies! Ooi Ooi Ooi!!

The questions below about Australia, are from potential visitors. They were posted on an Australian Tourism Website and the answers are the actual responses by the website officials, who obviously have a sense of humour.

Q: Does it ever get windy in Australia? I have never seen it rain on TV, how do the plants grow? (UK).
A: We import all plants fully grown and then just sit around watching them die

Q: Will I be able to see kangaroos in the street? (USA)
A: Depends how much you've been drinking.

Q: I want to walk from Perth to Sydney - can I follow the railroad tracks? (Sweden)
A: Sure, it's only three thousand miles, take lots of water

Q: Is it safe to run around in the bushes in Australia? (Sweden)
A: So it's true what they say about Swedes

Q: Are there any ATMs (cash machines) in Australia? Can you send me a list of them in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and Hervey Bay? (UK)
A: What did your last slave die of?

Q: Can you give me some information about hippo racing in Australia?(USA)
A: A-fri-ca is the big triangle shaped continent south of Europe. Aus-tra-lia is that big island in the middle of the Pacific which does not... oh forget it. Sure, the hippo racing is every tuesday night in Kings Cross. Come naked.

Q: Which direction is North in Australia? (USA)
A: Face south and then turn 180 degrees. Contact us when you get here and we'll send the rest of the directions.

Q: Can I bring cutlery into Australia? (UK)
A: Why? Just use your fingers like we do.

Q: Can you send me the Vienna Boys' Choir schedule? (USA)

A: Rattlesnakes live in A-meri-ca which is where YOU come from. All Australian snakes are perfectly harmless, can be safely handled and make good pets.

Q: I have a question about a famous animal in Australia, but I forget its name. It's a kind of bear and lives in trees. (USA)
A: It's called a Drop Bear. They are so called because they drop out of Gum trees and eat the brains of anyone walking underneath them. You can scare them off by spraying yourself with human urine before you go out walking.

If you get there before i do, dont give up on me

Never failed to make me cry....

One day, my story of my love for you will be passed on too...

I read a note my grandma wrote back in nineteen twenty-three.
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me.
He said,"Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I loved your Grandma so."
We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together.
Get married in the first town we came to, and live forever.
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, insteadOf her, I found this letter, and this is what it said:
"If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,I'll be loving you.
Love, me."
I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away,
In the doorway of a church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray.
I know I'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years;
But as he said these words to her, his eyes filled up with tears.
If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you.
Love, me.
Between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you.
Love, me.
